Airedales are bred to work and must have a job. People with active lifestyles make ideal Airedale Terrier owners. Airedales love the outdoors. They are deceptively strong, requiring exercise for optimal health an mental well being.
They are especially protective of children and his family property.
The Airedale can live to be 12-15 years old.
They excel as hunters of small animals and fowl. They have also branched out into obedience, tracking, agility, nosework, and therapy work as well protecting work, drug detection and Search & Rescue.
They stand approximately 23-24” tall, and should weigh around 60-70 pounds when fully grown.
They are non-shedding and require regular washing and combing.N
